Ultrasound Sonographer - Travel Position Location: Asheville, NC Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 5x8s Pay: $2191/week
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The Sonographer will operate ultrasound equipment, capture high-quality images, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and knowledgeable in a variety of ultrasound specialties.
Key Responsibilities: Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to capture accurate diagnostic images.
Analyze images for quality and assist physicians in interpretation as needed.
Document findings and maintain accurate patient records.
Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and facility standards.
Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Certification through ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, COVID vaccine, recent TB test
At least 1-year clinical ultrasound experience
