JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Analyst WORK LOCATION: Warehouse - Charlotte, NC JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Analyst plays a critical role in managing finished goods, sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating final assembly to ensure flexibility and meet the service expectations of VS America customers. This position is responsible for planning and replenishing products and components from both local and international suppliers, maintaining optimal inventory levels across distribution warehouses to support historical trends, forecasted demand, and actual demand. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with Sales, Inside Sales, Logistics, and Manufacturing teams to align inventory and warehouse strategies with business goals and deliver exceptional customer service. Management of finished goods, work-in-process, and component inventory
Develop and execute forecasting and demand planning strategies to optimize inventory holdings. Manage finished goods inventory through purchasing, replenishment, and stock optimization aligned with sales trends. Oversee work-in-process and component inventory by coordinating purchasing, replenishment, final assembly scheduling, and work order release in assembly-to-order and assembly-to-stock environments. Optimize inventory distribution across multiple warehouses based on customer segmentation and sales trends. Strategically manage product life cycle phases, including new product introductions and end-of-life phase-out plans. Identify and address aging and slow-moving inventory. Maintain accurate and up-to-date item master data in the ERP system. Generate and distribute inventory analytics and reporting for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Proactively identify and address supply shortages by mitigating risks caused by lead time variability, manufacturing delays, and unexpected sales surges. Collaborate with the Logistics team to optimize warehouse capacity, manage inventory levels, and streamline inbound/outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and exceeding customer service levels. Analyze customer orders to optimize fulfillment and routing by considering dynamic factors such as factory production capacity, warehouse inventory levels, assembly capacity, transit times, logistics costs, and service quality. Monitor manufacturing on-time delivery performance, ensuring alignment with requested and planned delivery dates to distribution centers or directly to customers. Implement KPI’s and new processes, with a focus on continuous improvement of the supply chain. Identify, discuss, and implement process, procedure, and ERP system changes and enhancements. Document current and future processes and procedures. Analyze sales data to recognize trends, support decision making, and improve forecasting. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimal Travel: Up to 10%
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field and at least two years’ experience within the supply chain planning environment preferred Proven process improvement and project management skills Demonstrated Excel proficiency and working with large data sets Strong day-to-day contributor with ability to provide a strategic direction Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact in multi-cultural and international environment Ability to network and build strong relationships Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment ERP experience regarding supply chain strongly preferred Ability to work as both an individual contributor and in a team and cross-functional environment. Ability to understand the large picture and work at the detailed level. Ability to work well under high stress and in the growing environment. Ability to make sound decisions based on the data and inputs from others. Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. Preferred Qualifications ASCM (APICS) Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) Strong familiarity with distribution requirements planning and material requirements planning Intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities including Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and common ETL (extract, transform, and load) practices
Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone Occassionally required to stand and walk Frequently required to sit for pronlonged periods at a desk Occassionally required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Occassionally required to climb, blance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl Occasionally exposed to et and/or humid conditions (non-weather) Ocassionally work near moving mechanical parts Occasionally work around funes, aibrone particles or toxic chemicals Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
