Responsibilities Work in an Interventional Radiology department covering procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with call required 1-2 days per week and one weekend per month Block scheduling with every third weekend coverage Exposure to a wide range of interventional procedures including angiography, angioplasty, chemoembolization, stent placement, and more EMR documentation required; working knowledge of electronic charting is necessary Use of Omnicell medication system Candidates may be required to float within the hospital based on census needs Scrubs are provided Responsibilities include equipment setup, circulating, scrubbing, maintaining the sterile field, and supporting a broad spectrum of IR procedures Team-based environment with floating to other departments as needed Modules must be completed as part of pre-start and orientation process Epic training is provided for nursing staff; allied health orientation varies Locals are accepted at a lower bill rate Time off requests must be submitted with initial application and must not exceed 5 days First-time travelers may be considered based on prior experience Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for this role Requirements Active CA Radiologic Technologist license in hand is required if applicable Current BLS and ARRT R certification required Minimum of 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience and prior travel experience Experience with pediatric through geriatric patient populations Proficiency in a variety of interventional radiology procedures including angiography, stent placements, laser assisted procedures, embolization, and others as listed Strong knowledge of sterile field maintenance, circulating and scrubbing for procedures, and use of Omnicell No prior employment as permanent staff at the facility No hits on Nursys report One recent professional reference required Ability to complete all required compliance modules prior to start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID 2982224.
