Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of IR experience and ARRT (R and VI or R and CV) certification for a dynamic hybrid OR/endovascular environment. Responsibilities Work in two endovascular hybrid suites within the operating room Assist surgeons with endovascular procedures and operate C-Arm for open vascular cases Procedures include angioplasty, aortography, embolization, stent placement, dialysis access interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and complex vascular imaging Uses and maintains Siemens equipment and PACS system for imaging 1:1 technologist-to-patient ratio Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Call required: one night per week and every third weekend Possible floating within hospital or to affiliated hospitals based on skillset Charting with Epic; Pyxis medication system in use Responsible for prepping access sites, maintaining equipment, accurate patient monitoring, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field during procedures Works in collaboration with surgeons and vascular surgery teams Scrubs are provided Orientation is 2 weeks (80 hours) RTO up to 7 days allowed (not during orientation or holidays); must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment Fatigue policy prohibits working more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week Travel pairs accepted if working on different units Candidates living under 50 miles from the facility are considered local Former employees must have a 12-month separation and obtain rehire approval before returning as a traveler Participation in storm, hurricane, or disaster teams may be required Requirements Minimum 3 years recent Interventional Radiology technologist experience Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted Active ARRT (R and VI or R and CV) certification required Active NC or Compact state license required in hand at start; pending status acceptable for consideration (license required if applicable) Demonstrated skills with c-Arm, Siemens and Philips equipment, and PACS Proficiency in sterile and isolation technique, equipment maintenance, supply management, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) Epic EMR experience required Ability to participate in storm or disaster response team as needed Must be comfortable floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals Two manager/supervisor references from the past 12 months must be provided by start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID 2966804.
