Fotona is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business & Data Analyst to join our team. This role combines the responsibilities of a traditional business analyst with strong data analysis skills. The ideal candidate will partner with leaders across marketing, sales, operations, warehouse, and technical service functions to identify business needs, determine data gaps, and generate actionable insights. They will also support decision-making by preparing dashboards, reports, and presentations for executive leadership and other stakeholders. While experience in the medical device industry is preferred, it is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison between business departments and leadership to translate business objectives into analytical requirements.
- Identify data-related issues, determine missing or incomplete data, and recommend strategies for improved collection and system modifications.
- Design and deploy surveys or work with departmental leads to ensure accurate and comprehensive data capture.
- Analyze complex business processes to identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and sales performance.
- Develop meaningful reports, presentations, and dashboards to highlight business trends, KPIs, and actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations that clearly communicate findings for department leads and executive-level audiences.
- Monitor key performance metrics across departments to identify areas of strength, weakness, and opportunity.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance data integrity, streamline reporting tools, and optimize the flow of information across systems.
- Support business strategy by providing fact-based recommendations that align with organizational and sales operational best practices.
- Stay current with industry benchmarks, trends, and standards to improve analytical frameworks continually.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of business operations and sales processes across multiple departments.
- Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills; experience with data modeling is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data insights into clear business recommendations.
- Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with the medical device industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving ability, with a balance of technical aptitude and business acumen.
