JOE & THE JUICE is hiring: Construction Project Manager in San Francisco

As we accelerate expansion in the United States—with a goal to triple our footprint over the next 3–4 years—we are hiring a Construction Project Manager to support our growth trajectory. This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, or Los Angeles and will manage projects across the West Coast with travel up to 50% throughout the U.S.

The role reports to the Head of Development & Construction, U.S. and offers significant growth potential as we scale.

Responsibilities

Project Management

• Manage the full lifecycle of retail construction projects, including scoping, bidding, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Prepare and track project budgets (CAPEX), cost estimates, and schedules; review invoices, monitor variances, and report weekly on progress.
• Develop bid packages and oversee the competitive bidding process for general contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and meetings, ensuring adherence to design, brand, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the handover process to U.S. Operations, ensuring a clean, complete, and documented transition.
• Maintain detailed project logs (RFIs, change orders, budget trackers) and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Drive post-project reviews to capture learnings and continuously improve delivery.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Procurement, Finance, IT, Operations, and Design teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and landlords.
• Ensure that brand, design, and operational requirements are consistently translated into successful project outcomes.
• Proactively manage stakeholder communications and expectations around timelines, budgets, and risks.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure projects comply with Joe & the Juice standards, landlord requirements, and local/state/federal codes.
• Identify construction issues early and implement timely solutions.
• Promote health, safety, and sustainability throughout project delivery.

Process Improvement

• Seek opportunities to improve scheduling, cost efficiency, and project outcomes.
• Apply lessons learned from past projects to enhance future performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years of experience managing retail construction projects independently; food & beverage retail experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of construction techniques, costs, and drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with project management software (MS Project, Procore, or similar).
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders.
• Flexible and willing to travel up to 50% based on project needs.
• Comfortable working outside of standard office hours when required.
