As we accelerate expansion in the United States—with a goal to triple our footprint over the next 3–4 years—we are hiring a Construction Project Manager to support our business as we grow on this ambitious growth trajectory.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our U.S. Development & Construction team. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, or Los Angeles , this role will primarily manage projects across the West Coast, with travel up to 50% throughout the U.S.

As Construction Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of new store projects — from bidding and budgeting through construction and handover — ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Joe & the Juice’s high-quality standards. You will play a key role in our U.S. expansion strategy, with the ambitious goal of doubling our 65+ store portfolio over the next two years.

This is a hands-on, mid-level role (3–5 years of experience) reporting to the H ead of Development & Construction, U.S. The position offers significant growth potential as we scale, with opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of retail construction projects, including scoping, bidding, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Prepare and track project budgets (CAPEX), cost estimates, and schedules; review invoices, monitor variances, and report weekly on progress.
  • Develop bid packages and oversee the competitive bidding process for general contractors.
  • Conduct site inspections and meetings, ensuring adherence to design, brand, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the handover process to U.S. Operations, ensuring a clean, complete, and documented transition.
  • Maintain detailed project logs (RFIs, change orders, budget trackers) and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Drive post-project reviews to capture learnings and continuously improve delivery.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with Real Estate, Procurement, Finance, IT, Operations, and Design teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and landlords.
  • Ensure that brand, design, and operational requirements are consistently translated into successful project outcomes.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder communications and expectations around timelines, budgets, and risks.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure projects comply with Joe & the Juice standards, landlord requirements, and local/state/federal codes.
  • Identify construction issues early and implement timely solutions.
  • Promote health, safety, and sustainability throughout project delivery.

Process Improvement

  • Seek opportunities to improve scheduling, cost efficiency, and project outcomes.
  • Apply lessons learned from past projects to enhance future performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing retail construction projects independently; food & beverage retail experience preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of construction techniques, costs, and drawings.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with project management softwares (MS Project, Procore, or similar).
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexible and willing to travel up to 50% based on project needs.
  • Comfortable working outside of standard office hours when required.
