RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using vocal exercises and cognitive therapies. Provide therapy to home health patients in accordance with ASHA professional standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care goals. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress reports.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Postgraduate degree from an accredited university recognized by ASHA. Alaska state license in Speech-Language Pathology required. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) by ASHA required. Minimum of two years experience in Speech Language Pathology preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and team interactions. Ability to work independently and maintain professional ethical standards.
