Overview
WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE – JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM! Position Overview: Conklin Metal Industries is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team at our New Orleans Branch. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse. Forklift experience is required, but this is not a forklift-only position. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role.

Base pay: $17.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments to ensure quality and completeness.
- Process and organize inventory in the warehouse for easy access and efficient operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Properly pull, stage, pack, and load outgoing deliveries to prevent damage in transit.
- Secure truck loads according to DOT and Conklin Metal standards for safe transportation.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Monitor and report any inventory discrepancies or safety concerns to management.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily warehouse demands.
Qualifications
- Must be reliable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
- Forklift experience is required (certification preferred).
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures based on the weather.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (must be available for overtime as needed).
