Nussbaum Transportation is hiring: Regional Truck Driver in Northlake

Overview

Driver position with Nussbaum Transportation. Majority of loads are within a 350-mile radius; some up to 400 miles. Home weekly schedule is common (Mon–Fri with full weekends at home). Some variability may occur (e.g., leaving Sunday or returning Saturday occasionally).

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer CDL-A, complete door-to-door miles (empty and loaded), adhere to safety and company policies, and perform required pre- and post-trip procedures as part of daily duties. Maintain customer service standards and comply with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• At least 6 months of recent experience OR completion of the company's training program
• Valid CDL A
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
• Meet all other Nussbaum requirements

Pay & Earnings

• Earn $63-70K your first year (based on experience; see dropdowns for a breakdown)
• Increase your earning potential with experience and tenure: +$0.01 cpm per year (up to $0.50/mile)
• Driver Scorecard Bonus: +$0.02-$0.08/mile (avg $0.03-$0.05)
• Certified RED Bonus: +$0.02/mile
• Door-to-door practical miles—empty & loaded
• Weekly guarantee: $1,200-$1,250 (based on experience; if miles are short due to delays/breakdowns, you still receive the guaranteed amount)
• Activity pay for the work performed: $20 for pickups and deliveries, $12 for trailer relays and shuttles
• $20/hour detention pay (starts after 1 hour)
• $270-$280/day layover pay
• Paid Orientation at Nussbaum Headquarters — $200/day

Early Exit Option

If you decide within the first 90 days that Nussbaum isn’t the right fit, you can exit with a $1,000 bonus after 30 days of hauling and separation before 90 days. No gimmicks or strings attached.

Rider policy allows a rider on the account. Most loads are within a regional radius, with occasional longer hauls.
