Base pay range: $13.00/hr - $13.50/hr

Location: USA TJ Maxx Store 0213, Louisville, KY

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.
• Operate the scrubber and buffer; perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards and the operation of cleaning equipment.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, Restrooms).
• Adhere to company policies concerning Health and Safety (including restocking essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End).
• Cross-train in other areas of the store (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, etc.).
• Support Front End coverage needs and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls per company guidelines and policies, including shrink reduction.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break periods.
• Participate in safety awareness to maintain a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor buffer and scrubber.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.
