Job Description

As a Security Guard - CRE Patrol Driver in Research Triangle Park, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. This is a part-time position. You will use Allied Universal\'s exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, providing flexibility to build a schedule that works for you while gaining site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will help maintain a secure environment within a commercial real estate location. Responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a highly visible presence to deter security incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. A valid driver\'s license is required for patrol duties involving driving.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM; Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior
• Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to tenants and visitors
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies
• Collaborate with property management and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
