Overview

Receptionist position at D.R. Horton, Inc. (Title Escrow Branch). The right candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the office reception area, properly receiving office customers, and handling incoming telephone calls with polished telephone etiquette. The Receptionist should help create a positive image of the company to co-workers, customers and others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet customers and personnel in the office.

Keep reception area clean and well organized.

Monitor and distribute courier deliveries.

Maintain and order office supplies.

Deliver to/pick up from agents, attorneys, clients, etc., if applicable.

As the Escrow Receptionist progresses in on-the-job training under the direction of a supervisor or co-worker, as well as with formalized training, perform the following additional tasks:

  • Prepare earnest money receipts
  • Send prepared “Thank You” notes/opening letters to agents, if applicable
  • Order listing kits and/or farm kits
  • Open, sort and file daily mail
  • Open orders
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Work overtime hours as requested in advance by the Branch Manager

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The employee should have knowledge of basic real estate/escrow/title terminology.
