Overview
The Marketing Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing Hamilton Storage’s marketing strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving brand awareness, product visibility, and commercial success through strategic communications and high-impact initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and execution of marketing strategies through market insight, competitor analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and manage marketing materials (brochures, sell sheets, whitepapers, testimonials, etc.) to ensure content is current, compliant, and impactful.
- Create and oversee communications programs that promote the company and its products, including visual and written content, public relations, and event marketing.
- Ensure alignment with branding guidelines and maintain consistency across all visual and written materials.
- Conduct ongoing brand management to ensure all communications reflect Hamilton’s identity and positioning.
- Collaborate with Product Management to support product launches, lifecycle communications, and end-of-life planning.
- Apply strong writing and communication skills to build awareness and generate demand through trade shows, social media, media outreach, and the company website.
- Coordinate trade shows and marketing events, including logistics for domestic and international exhibitions.
- Organize and support customer-facing events such as user group meetings, factory tours, and webinars. Manage the HST demo room in Franklin, MA.
- Effectively manage the marketing budget and vendor relationships to ensure optimal ROI and impact.
- Maintain and govern digital marketing platforms, including the company website, marketing portal, and tools like Showpad.
- Oversee internal systems for asset version control, expiry, and compliance.
- Support sales enablement by ensuring the commercial team has access to updated effective marketing tools.
- Create and maintain internal-use sales support documentation in user-friendly formats.
- Evaluate the performance of marketing communications initiatives and implement improvements based on data and feedback.
- Translate website analytics and SEO performance into actionable insights to improve visibility and engagement.
- Utilize webinar platforms and remote meeting tools to support virtual events and communications.
- Lead and mentor a team of two direct reports, fostering a performance-based, collaborative culture.
- Participate in marketing planning meetings to ensure initiatives are aligned, supported, and executed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in marketing communications, ideally in a technical or life sciences environment.
- Strong leadership skills with at least 1 year of supervisory experience and 5+ years as an individual contributor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (Salesforce), and marketing automation tools (HubSpot).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
- Skilled in trade show planning, web content management, and social media marketing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience performing or supervising the performance of graphic design, printing, web design and development, search engine optimization, etc. is desirable.
- Experience using social media for marketing purposes.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, business, advertising, design, or technical writing.
