The ideal candidate will demonstrate command of assortment planning, strategic pricing, competitive market analysis, exceptional analytical skills, and a track record of success in driving positive and continuous improvement within the organization
In This Role Develop and execute brand assortment plans in partnership with Merchandising Leadership and Product Development for assigned categories Drive sales growth by identifying assortment gaps and analyzing market trends Conduct competitive market analysis to inform assortment decisions and enhance product positioning Partner with Planning on new item forecasting, markdown strategies, and inventory management Support pricing decisions with a strong understanding of product margin strategies Provide detailed product performance reporting and actionable insights to leadership Foster strong partnerships with Product Development and Planning Actively contribute to departmental and category initiatives to support growth Monitor and respond to evolving market trends and performance data to identify growth opportunities Maintain accurate product and pricing data for assigned categories Other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications Uphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team

The Ideal Person 4+ years of experience in retail planning, buying, or equivalent analytical roles (furniture industry experience is preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising or related field Strong background in pricing strategy and margin optimization Familiarity with inventory management, demand planning, and related metrics Experience with merchandising tools, reporting, and data analysis Proficiency in project management skills and ability to maintain data integrity while managing multiple priorities Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel Strategic thinker with the ability to align category plans with long-term business goals Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and goal Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences Proven success in managing product assortments and driving sales Highly organized and detail-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced environment Adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to changing market needs Strong critical thinking skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions Strong understanding of customer insights and market trends to drive product About Four Hands
