Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract requiring 2 years of experience, ACLS, BCLS, ARRT, or RCIS certification. Responsibilities Position is in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM Patient population includes adults undergoing a wide range of interventional cardiac and IR procedures Equipment used includes Acist injector, Siemens/Philips C-arms, Medrad power injector, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shock wave, Rampart, Pneumbra, and Inari Common procedures include LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temporary and permanent pacers/defibs, pericardial effusion management, STEMI call, IR venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, PE, DVTs, TIPS, PV, fistula work, UFEs, prostate embolizations, and management of internal bleeds Experience with circulating and conscious sedation is required Cerner EMR is used in this facility Floating within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals is required Performs both cardiac and interventional radiologic procedures, including acute STEMI calls and diverse IR cases No specific charting requirements besides Cerner First-time travelers may be considered with sufficient experience Locals are accepted for this allied position All travelers must float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals as needed Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract Up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off are auto-approved; anything more requires facility approval Previous perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler Requirements Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab experience (first-time travelers accepted with 3 years of experience) Current ACLS, BCLS, ARRT, or RCIS certification required Experience with circulating and conscious sedation required Ability to work with a broad range of interventional cardiac and IR procedures Experience with listed cardiac and IR equipment and tools Cerner EMR documentation experience required Travelers must have an IN or compact state license in hand prior to start date (license required if applicable) Degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE Two supervisor references required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-607445.
