Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and current ARRT or RCIS certification for a cardiac and interventional radiology setting. Responsibilities Position is based in a hospital cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology environment Case types include cardiac procedures (LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, pacemakers, pericardial effusions, STEMI) and IR procedures (venous access, drains, GI tubes, PE, DVTs, UFEs, internal bleeding) Equipment used includes Acist injector, Siemens and Philips C-arms, Medrad power injectors, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shockwave, Rampart, Pneumbra, and Inari Required shifts are 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals is required Cerner EMR is used; previous Cerner experience preferred Responsibilities include supporting both cardiac catheterization and a wide range of interventional radiology procedures Candidates must be able to float between units and facilities as needed All employees are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off (RTO) may be auto-approved; more requires approval Returning employees or travelers must have a 12-month gap from prior employment to be eligible First-time travelers are considered with adequate experience Local candidates are accepted for allied and surgical services positions There is no specific charting requirement beyond familiarity with Cerner EMR Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cath lab or interventional radiology setting required First-time travelers accepted with 3 years of experience Current ARRT or RCIS certification required Active ACLS and BCLS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted, must be current) Ability to circulate and administer conscious sedation required Must have license in hand prior to start date; temporary license may be allowed if permanent application is underway Degree from a university accredited by the ACEN or CCNE required Two supervisor references required SSN and DOB required for consideration License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-608105.
