Responsibilities Position is in a hospital-based MRI department Works with two 1.5T Siemens Aera MRI scanners Performs neuro, musculoskeletal, and abdominal scans, including specialty exams such as breast imaging, enterography, and imaging patients with pacemakers ICU patients are scanned regularly using MRI safe equipment No cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, or MSA extremities are performed Uses Epic EMR Work schedule is three 12-hour evening shifts per week (14:00–02:30) Required to work every third weekend and holidays as assigned Call required: three weekday day shifts per month and one weekend call every 12 weeks Travelers float first within their scope Specialty MRI exams include breast imaging, enterography, and scanning patients with pacemakers MRI-safe ventilator and IVAC available, along with MRI-safe monitoring equipment No conscious sedation is performed by technologists Expect direct interaction with ICU patient population Charcoal grey scrubs required Required to complete pre-start modules before beginning employment Holiday and weekend coverage assigned as scheduled Return staff must not have worked at the facility in the past 366 days NCNS and excessive call-offs result in immediate termination Requirements Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience required (will consider 1.5 years with strong Level I or large hospital background) Experience with Siemens MRI scanners required Current ARRT or NMTCB certification required BLS certification required IV start experience strongly preferred Cardiac MRI experience is a major plus Must live more than 100 miles from the central facility to be eligible License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-608817.
