Position Summary The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of a program serving young adults with disabilities. Responsibilities include client assessment, program planning, personnel supervision, compliance monitoring, community outreach, and administrative oversight. The Coordinator ensures high-quality service delivery that supports participants’ educational, social, and vocational development, while maintaining compliance with all licensing, funding, and contractual requirements. The Program Coordinator must demonstrate cultural competence, sensitivity, and respect for the diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and developmental needs of the individuals and families served . Duties and Responsibilities The Program Coordinator will: Program Oversight & Compliance

Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate program activities in alignment with best practices, agency policies, and all grant/funding requirements. Conduct regular site visits and program observations to ensure compliance with policies, licensing standards, and funding guidelines. Ensure timely submission of reports, documentation, and applications required for funding, licensing, and accreditation. Maintain strict confidentiality of participant, family, and organizational information.

Service Delivery & Participant Support

Design and supervise instructional, recreational, and vocational activities that support individualized learning and transition goals. Ensure that instructional methods, adaptations, and supports motivate and enable each participant to achieve their objectives. Foster a safe, supportive environment with primary focus on the health, safety, and well-being of participants. Provide continuity of services to current and potential clients, addressing educational, financial, and transitional needs in collaboration with staff and families.

Staff Supervision & Development

Supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality service delivery. Facilitate regular staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Identify areas for improvement through data collection, monitoring reports, and staff feedback.

Community Engagement

Conduct outreach and develop collaborative relationships with community stakeholders, employers, schools, and service providers to expand program impact and opportunities for participants. Represent the program at community events, partner meetings, and stakeholder forums as needed.

Safety & Emergency Preparedness

Enforce all safety protocols, ensuring the safety of participants, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Respond to medical and non-medical emergencies according to established procedures. Assist in building evacuations and emergency drills (fire, disaster, etc.), including assigned responsibilities related to participant safety, documentation security, and facility readiness.

General Administrative Duties

Support the administration of required licenses, permits, and accreditations to prevent service disruption. Work a flexible schedule to meet program and participant needs. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations and alignment with agency mission.

Physical Demands Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed. Regular bending, stooping, stretching, walking, squatting, pushing, pulling, and kneeling. Ability to sit on the floor and physically interact with participants in meaningful ways. Work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels. Ability to quickly detect unsafe situations by sight and sound and intervene as necessary. Educational & Experiential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Special Education, Mental Health, Education, or a related social services field required. Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or other vulnerable populations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management software. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive communication style. Customer service–oriented with strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills. Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork, build effective relationships, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to take initiative, set priorities, and achieve program objectives. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding participant and staff information. Passion for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and/or special needs. Other Requirements Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed. Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings, including:

Local background check Level 2 clearance (FBI, FDLE) TB test and medical clearance Drug screening Professional reference checks

Adherence to Universal Health & Safety Precautions at all times. Perform additional related duties as necessary to support the smooth operation and efficiency of Easter Seals South Florida. Reporting to this position: Direct care staff- CNA, RBT, Teacher Assistant, Driver and Center Assistant.
