Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1 year of inpatient hospital IR experience, BLS and ARRT certification required. Responsibilities Position is in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit with majority adult and geriatric patients, including some adolescents Performs all IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, upper/lower extremity, abdominal/pelvic, genitourinary, vascular, venous access, and neurological studies Daily case load ranges from 13 to 17 Significant neuro and body (including stroke) procedure experience required Uses Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment; PACS and contrast required; Acuson equipment experience preferred First shift, 5x8 hour days, staggered start times between 7:00 and 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday Primary and backup call required during weekends, evenings, and nights as part of a rotation No floating required Expect to participate in call rotation for weekends, evenings, and nights Must be available Monday through Friday during the first week for hospital orientation with no other commitments Scrubs provided by the facility Candidates must not have had prior permanent, PRN, or EP staff roles at the facility within the last 12 months; rehire approval required after 12 months Staff may not work simultaneously as travel Per Diem and contract traveler roles within the health system Candidates living within 50 miles will be considered at a local rate No RTO allowed during the first week; must work 2 of 3 major holidays; 7 days RTO or less allowed if not on a holiday, additional RTO requires approval Must complete pre-assignment hospital modules, including EKG testing if applicable Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent IR technologist experience in an inpatient hospital setting Current BLS and ARRT certification required Active NC or Compact state license required at time of start; License required if applicable Experience with vascular and neurological procedures, including stroke intervention, is required Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment is required Charting experience with Epic preferred; Visage experience a plus Traveler experience required; first-time travelers not accepted Two professional references from current or recent direct supervisors required before start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-586193.
