Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist experienced in both peripheral and neurovascular IR procedures, with current ARRT and BLS certification. Responsibilities Work in an Interventional Radiology unit with 4 IR rooms equipped with Siemens c-arms (2 single plane, 2 biplane) Assignment includes both peripheral vascular and neurovascular IR cases Two IR technologists assigned to each room, with distinct scrubbing and circulating roles Patient population includes Level 1 trauma, stroke, and PE cases Typical procedures include angiograms, stent placements, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, central line insertions Day shifts are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, four days per week On-call is required every 3rd or 4th weekend from Friday 5:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM Requires floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed Cerner EMR is used; prior experience is required First-time travelers are welcome to apply All travelers must float within the hospital and may be required to float to nearby affiliate hospitals Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays No specific charting system required beyond Cerner Completion of pre-start online learning modules is required IN residents are considered local and are eligible for this position Perm or PRN employees must be away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO may be auto-approved; more requires facility approval Requirements Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of Interventional Radiology technologist experience required Proficient in scrubbing both peripheral and neurovascular IR cases Current ARRT and BLS certifications required Must be able to perform stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, drainages, vascular and neurological studies, upper and lower extremity cases, abdominal and pelvic procedures, venous access AHA or RQI certifications are accepted and must be current License required if applicable; IN or Compact state license must be in hand prior to start date Graduation from a university accredited by the ACEN or CCNE Must provide two supervisor references for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-597228.
