Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 18 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience for 10-hour day shifts and call coverage. Responsibilities Work setting includes 1 Cath Lab, 1 IR room, and 1 hybrid room Patient population includes adults requiring LHC/RHC, diagnostics, interventions, IABPs, STEMIs/MIs, pacemakers, gen changes, MICRAs Preferred but not required to have experience with IR procedures such as embolizations, nephrostomy tubes/stents, central lines, ports, G/GJ tubes, IVC filters, dialysis catheters, and endovascular clot retrieval Hybrid room cases include AAA grafts, peripheral/AO runoffs, and fistulograms Cases per day typically range between 7 and 14 Three-person teams staffed in each room No CVOR backup and no staged/protected PCIs or CTOs performed Technology includes EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Maclab transitioning to Merge for hemodynamics, GE C-arms, and MedRad or Assist injectors Potential to float to the OR to assist with vascular cases as needed 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with weekday and weekend call required, including weekend and holiday rotations Primary responsibilities include assisting in a variety of Cath Lab and IR procedures, equipment operation, and ensuring efficient case turnover and patient safety Involvement in hybrid OR and vascular cases as needed Support staff includes a scheduler, charge nurse or lead tech, 24/7 phlebotomy, radiology, hospitalists, IR and cardiologists during the day, and intensivist coverage Orientation provided based on prior IR experience; extended orientation if new to IR Scrubs and lead aprons provided, with extended sizing available upon request Free onsite parking is available Holiday coverage required for call every other holiday RTO of up to 7 days allowed, with additional or holiday time requiring approval Must be able to take buddy call during orientation period Requirements Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab experience required; both Cath Lab and IR experience preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required ARRT or RCIS certification required if applicable Capable of scrubbing and panning simultaneously, performing room turnover, and safe patient transport Familiarity with Assist and Manifold preferred EMR experience with Epic is required or willingness to learn Must be able to work a rotating schedule and take call with a 30-minute response time First-time travelers are welcome to apply Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-591085.
