The Inventory Lead is responsible for operating material handling equipment (MHE) to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count. Computer data entry is required for receipts, shipments, and inventory maintenance. The Inventory Lead assists the supervisor/manager in ensuring the facility complies with quality standards and oversees the functions of inventory associates and other staff. As part of the DSV team, associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality, and to comply with corporate and site-specific policies. Essential duties and responsibilities
Delegate work and responsibility to subordinates. Oversee scheduled shifts and evaluate the performance of inventory staff. Analyze daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical count and perpetual record. Audit daily error reports and perform corrections as necessary. Generate monthly data from WMS reports indicating monthly and year-to-date totals of cycle count variances. Analyze in/out transactions on material for validity to the product structure. Report miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action as appropriate. Serve as the distribution lead for Physical Inventory. Gain knowledge of the online Inventory Audit Trail to facilitate corrective action research. Prepare monthly reports highlighting major problems and updates on projects or assignments. Perform other duties as assigned (in-transit reports, shipping adjustments, etc.). Assist with associate relations and training. Audit warehouse daily for safety, security, and quality compliance; maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; promote safety among the work crew. Transmit emails to DSV representatives and clients (when required), write corrective/preventive actions, complete reports for operations manager, follow up with attendance reports, write counseling memos and evaluations. All communications must be accurate and professional. Assist with daily startup meetings, encourage feedback and teamwork, support development/training, coordinate with management to meet daily objectives, and report issues affecting the operation. Provide effective communication and motivational techniques while ensuring company rules are followed. Inform management about labor/equipment needs to meet customer demands. Develop team leaders and ensure associate expectations are met. Other duties (site specific)
Assist leadership as needed. Work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required. Participate in cross-training to improve knowledge across departments and assist as a backup. Overtime as dictated by business needs. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED. 1 year of experience in a logistics/distribution environment. Ability to operate MHE. Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Forklift training certificate satisfactory completion. Skills, knowledge and abilities
Computer skills Basic computer skills RF scanners WMS functions Language skills English (reading, writing, verbal) Mathematical skills Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform duties related to handling, storing, and distributing client products. Other Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to complete tasks timely. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications
13 years experience in an inventory department. 13 years forklift experience. Current or prior MHE certification. Physical demands
Occasionally: Handling/Fingering, Sitting Frequently: Bending Constantly: Walking and Standing Ability to lift/carry and push/pull 2150 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel. Work environment
