The EP-VS Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for developing the Low Voltage product portfolio in the Data Center and semiconductor vertical, as a liaison to and supporting the sales force in the United States. The portfolio includes but is not limited to: Low Voltage switchgear (UL1558) Switchboards, Panelboards, Busway and downstream equipment Distribution transformers, protection and automation devices Other ancillary MV and LV products that are part of complete electrical packaged substation solutions Responsibilities
This Business Development position has the responsibility to both support and drive profitable sales growth of the LV and LV substation portfolio. Proactively plan, create demand, influence specifications, get Siemens LV and LV substation products in approved customer lists, in target & penetrate accounts, drive promotional activities, work and sell collaboratively, create budget proposals, manage an opportunity pipeline, conduct training, perform customer presentations, and handle numerous other business development and sales related activities. Heavily emphasize technical specification and account influence to drive toward a preferential position. Part of daily work includes client contact and active involvement during the sales and execution phase. Help the business unit set annual vertical targets based on market dynamics and assist in meeting those targets. Accurate monthly forecasting of projects in the pipeline. Act as a business unit liaison and support Sales Account Managers and Channel agents who directly call on End Users, Electrical Contractors, and EPC firms. Provide marketing advice and leadership to ensure overall market effectiveness. Develop account development plans (market analysis and strategic objectives) and ensure transparency through CRM. Provide technical support for customers in terms of products and their integration into power supply systems; support prequalification processes at Key and Focus Accounts. Possess basic project management skills to support project activities. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or general engineering. 7+ years of business development / technical sales experience in the Data Center and semiconductor verticals with strong product knowledge of MV switchgear, GIS, and MV solutions. Basic knowledge of ANSI/NEMA standards; IEC knowledge is an advantage. Understanding of MV power electrical distribution systems, including electrical system architecture, E-House/PEC technology, protective relaying, control schemes and equipment designs. Ability to effectively demonstrate equipment and conduct hands-on demonstrations. Ability to conduct product training for Sales and customers. Experience with executive, engineering, and operations level clients. Experience with contract negotiations. Experience with End Users and EPC firms. Ability to make excellent presentations to customers and EPCs. Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time, including some international travel. Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in business administration. High self-motivation, self-starter, and able to work in a matrix environment. Strong communication, analytical skills, team orientation, resilience, and social competence. Hunters drive and motivation to win orders (not an account maintenance role). Spanish as a second language in addition to fluency in English. US citizens preferred due to customer base. Pay range:
$98,630 - $169,080 annually. Actual wage may be lower or higher based on budget, experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and location. Incentives:
