Production Scheduler - 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000/year (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a Production Scheduler to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is key to supporting our fabrication department, with a particular focus on sheet metal, stainless steel, and general fabrication planning. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in ERP systems (Epicor preferred), advanced Excel skills, and a hands-on approach to coordinating production schedules in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedules across multiple production areas, including sheet metal fabrication and sub-assemblies Collaborate closely with Area Managers, Supervisors, and Manufacturing Engineers to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) KPIs Monitor job progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, material shortages, and changes in demand Release and manage work orders in the ERP system Resolve material availability issues and ensure alignment of supply and demand via MRP exception messages Set optimal lot sizes, reorder points, and manage stocking levels of finished goods and components Track work-in-process (WIP) and ensure timely job completion Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives (hazard reduction, cost savings, quality, lead time reduction, etc.) Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in a production scheduling or planning role within a manufacturing environment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, macros) ERP experience is required; Epicor ERP strongly preferred Solid understanding of MRP, BOMs, routings, and master data management Comfortable working on the production floor and directly with manufacturing teams Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functionally Lean manufacturing knowledge and ability to apply continuous improvement principles Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in sheet metal, stainless steel, or fabrication environments APICS CPIM Certification
