Exciting opportunity for a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to join a busy, well-established cancer center in Greenville, SC. This role starts as a locum assignment beginning November 1, 2025 , with the potential to transition to a permanent position.
Setting: Free-standing Cancer Center
Reason for Coverage: Loss of provider
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Practice Mix: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology, 0% internal medicine
Team: 7 physicians and 6 APPs
Patient Volume: 20 patients/day inpatient (during call)
EMR: Epic
Trauma Level: N/A
Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology REQUIRED
Active South Carolina License REQUIRED (will consider candidates needing to obtain license)
BLS REQUIRED
DEA REQUIRED
Start Date: November 1, 2025
Locum Coverage: No call during locum period
Permanent Placement: Call required, 1 week every 6 8 weeks
Estimated Credentialing: 60 days
Participation on Tumor Board
Management of Bone Marrow Transplants
Blood Bank responsibilities
Ordering tests and imaging
Prescribing medications
Collaboration with Nurse Oncologists for chemotherapy administration
Flights, lodging, and rental car reimbursed
Mileage reimbursed at IRS Standard Rate
