Base pay range$145,000.00/yr - $430,000.00/yrWhat you’ll doAs a key member of the Global Corporate Communication team, the Editorial Director will lead the day-to-day execution of the thought-leadership editorial strategy. Reporting to the VP of Global Corporate Communication, this strategic leader will drive the creation of stories across multi-media channels, including podcast, social media platforms, digital magazine, blogs, and by-line articles. The Editorial Director will conceptualize, assign, and edit content, managing the work of a bench of writers and editors, and will work cross-functionally to source story ideas, themes, and topics to cover. This is a hybrid role requiring in-person attendance several days per week in one of the following locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.Work with the VP of Global Corporate Communication to develop and implement the editorial vision for Tanium, ensuring content aligns with the mission and core messaging across multi-media channelsOversee editorial planning and calendar to ensure timely production and publication of high-impact contentDraft thought leadership pieces, reports, and other editorial content as neededManage content production workflows from ideation to publication, mentoring a team of freelance writers and editors to create high-quality journalism-style content across channelsCollaborate with Marketing & Communications, Product, Research & Data teams to guide content creation, including events, product launches, board materials, and other initiativesManage the social media team to identify emerging trends in education and media to inform storytelling approachesMaintain editorial standards for all written content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistencyLead efforts to innovate editorial formats and storytelling methods, integrating multimedia and interactive features when appropriateTrack content performance and audience engagement and use insights to refine editorial strategiesWe’re looking for someone with10+ years of editorial experience, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, corporate business strategy/communication, or content strategy; strong storytelling, strategic thinking, and editing skillsProven leadership experience managing editorial teams with a focus on coaching and mentoring writersExceptional writing and editing skills with a deep understanding of journalistic principlesAbility to create content for multiple audiences including media, policymakers, business leaders, and industry influencersExperience with product storytelling and cross-team collaboration to craft narratives around new products or initiativesExperience with editorial strategy and performance metricsStrong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlinesAbout TaniumTanium delivers the industry’s only true real-time cloud-based endpoint management and security offering. The actual base salary offered may be adjusted based on factors including location, education, skills, training, and experience.
