Two years in, Bakr has set the new standard for frozen—now we’re looking to do the same for our brand by building a marketing team that brings a fun, tasteful, and slightly edgy identity to a long-overlooked aisle. Position Overview We are looking for a strategic, results-driven marketing leader with proven experience in high-growth, early-stage companies. The ideal candidate can see the big picture and deliver on the details—balancing long-term brand vision with the agility to test, learn, and execute quickly. You’ll have full oversight and creative liberty to establish and execute Bakr’s marketing, social, and community-building strategy, ensuring every consumer touchpoint—from retail to digital to cultural collaborations—feels cohesive, bold, and distinctly Bakr. This role is a rare opportunity to operate at both 40,000 feet and on the ground floor: you’ll pioneer our marketing strategy, build a lasting brand, and create a modern social presence that resonates with today’s consumer. As part of a fast-moving team, you’ll connect strategy with execution to help establish Bakr as a household name in baking. Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Integration Develop and own the end-to-end brand marketing strategy, ensuring consistency across retail, social, digital, and cultural touchpoints. Connect in-store activations, digital campaigns, content, and partnerships into a seamless consumer journey. Translate Bakr’s voice and identity into experiences that spark awareness, conversation, and loyalty. Drive shopper marketing execution to ensure strong in-store presence and retailer alignment. Partner with sales and brokers to build programs, promotions, and activations that convert at shelf. Manage budgets and vendors to maximize impact and efficiency. Organic Social & Community Building Lead Bakr’s organic social strategy and creative direction, building a bold, platform-native presence that drives awareness and affinity. Develop and manage content and community engagement, ensuring storytelling, trends, and conversations feel authentic, shareable, and distinctly Bakr. Measure and optimize performance, using insights to refine content, grow reach, and integrate social seamlessly into the broader marketing mix. Design and lead scalable programs with influencers, affiliates, and ambassadors that authentically expand Bakr’s reach. Identify, manage, and activate partnerships—from paid collaborations to strategic gifting programs—that build credibility and community. Track and optimize performance, using insights to inform not only influencer strategy but also paid social, retail marketing, and broader campaign amplification. Partnerships & Culture Identify and cultivate strategic brand, creator, and cultural partnerships that extend Bakr’s story. Build earned media and organic opportunities that amplify brand presence beyond paid channels. Insights & Growth Use data and consumer insights to sharpen strategy and uncover whitespace opportunities. Track performance across campaigns and touchpoints, adapting quickly to optimize results. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Founders to ensure integrated go-to-market plans. Build and mentor a growing marketing team as Bakr scales. Qualifications
5+ years in brand marketing, ideally in CPG food & beverage. Proven ability to connect the dots across all consumer touchpoints, from retail to social to partnerships. Track record of building strong organic brand presence through creative, community, and earned-first strategies. Experience driving both shopper marketing execution and digital/social growth. Strong creative instincts, paired with analytical rigor. Comfortable moving between strategic planning and hands-on implementation.
