Human Resources Assistant (Office Automation)

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the COMMAND ADVISORY DEPARTMENT of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST. Responsibilities include reviewing personnel action requests for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, completing missing information, and following up on suspense actions. You will explain the recruitment process to supervisors, employees, and potential candidates, and provide information on in-processing/on-boarding procedures and requirements. You will respond to questions regarding the completion of various employment forms and use practical knowledge of staffing techniques and merit promotion principles and practices to recruit for a variety of positions. You will also use skill in written and oral communication to prepare letters and memoranda, and to explain processes and procedures. Requirements include demonstrating at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate providing customer service, working with automated databases or human resources information systems, maintaining personnel or administrative records, and processing personnel or administrative actions in accordance with regulations. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school or a combination of specialized experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
