FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:
This position on the Operations Support team is responsible for the reconciliation of General Ledger (GL) accounts related to electronic banking functions throughout Bellco Credit Union. The Operations Support Reconciliation team is responsible for ensuring GL's are in balance and that discrepancies are cleared in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring proper compliance in accordance with NACHA, Regulation E, Reg CC and Visa Regulations. Provide detailed information and problem-solving services to internal clients and business partners. The appropriate candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to work in a team and a commitment to providing quality member service.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Operations Support Manager
Supervises: None
Contacts: Frequent contact with other credit union employees, S3 employees and some contact with service personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related academic field is preferred or equivalent work related experience
Experience: Minimum four years' experience in financial services including experience balancing General Ledger accounts and electronic services functions.
Skills: Manual dexterity to input data on a keyboard i.e. computer, calculator, telephone
Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to interpret data
Deductive reasoning skills
Extreme attention to detail to minimize risk with member and credit union data
Ability to tactfully question or actively listen to members/employees/departments to determine specific needs
Ability to work independently without supervision
Ability to multi task and perform with frequent interruption
Must possess strong communication, organizational, presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills
Detail oriented, flexible and works well within a fast paced team environment
Demonstrates strong analytical/problem solving and time-management skills
Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and consumer lending origination and servicing systems
Must demonstrate good judgment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides a valuable and enjoyable experience to both internal customers and members during interactions. Consistently suggests ways to improve the member/customer experience through improved processes and technology. Advanced knowledge of researching and clearing all daily Federal Reserve adjustments Assist Accounting with research and resolution of complex outages in Due From Fed, Deposit Processing, Fintech and Cryptocurrency General Ledgers. Advanced knowledge of Shared branch balancing. Advanced knowledge of Ensenta/RDC systems to include, researching and resolving issues within the system. Responsible for processing and research associated with legal distraints in a timely manner. Responsible for Bill Pay research and processing. Assist with research, corrections and resolutions for Foreign Items and Bonds. Advanced knowledge of processing and resolving ATM Disputes. In addition, serving as support to S3/CUSO for credit and debit card disputes. Balance all Bellco owned ATMS for cash and checks. Will require researching and
resolving complex situations when an ATM or transaction is out of balance.
Reviewing, researching and clearing incoming ATM adjustments. Review and balance any relevant S3 related GL's as well as any other GL's as assigned. Processes Activity requests associated with Electronic Services. Administrator for several systems used by Electronic Services as well as S3. Understands regulatory requirements related to Electronic Service functions. Any other electronic services duties as assigned. Works with internal team members to guide and direct when questions arise and assists in issue resolution with Specialists and Support Representatives. Work with S3 to facilitate on-going process enhancements.
