Position Summary
A growing insurance agency is seeking a
Claims Representative
to support commercial clients and third parties throughout the claims process. This position involves collecting and documenting claim information, communicating with carriers, and assisting with the settlement of both commercial and personal claims. The Claims Representative acts as a liaison between clients and carriers to help facilitate timely and accurate claims resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate claims to gather and verify facts regarding coverage, liability, and loss. Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, legal representatives, law enforcement, and medical professionals. Monitor legal and medical components of claims as necessary. Maintain detailed, accurate claim documentation in internal systems. Proactively resolve claim issues and follow up on outstanding matters. Regularly update clients and internal team members on claim status. Coordinate with outside agents or adjusters for further investigation when needed. Follow up with carriers to ensure timely processing and settlement of commercial claims. Alert internal teams about large or complex commercial claims or reserves. Record and maintain comprehensive loss history and claim closure data in the agency management system. Assist clients and adjusters in scheduling loss review appointments. Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier claims teams. Ensure all communication and documentation regarding claims is logged appropriately. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial claims or commercial lines within an insurance agency or carrier. Active P&C license required (Commercial Lines). AMS 360 experience Highly Prefered Solid technical knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and claims processes. Experience handling multiple lines of commercial claims, including:
Workers' Compensation Commercial Auto General Liability Commercial Property Management Liability
