Robert Half, San Francisco, CA, US, 94103
Job Description
Job Description
A Finance team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support cross-functional system improvements and initiatives within the Order to Cash Accounting and Operations space. This collaborative role interfaces with core stakeholders. This is a long term contract that is 100% remote. Prefer someone who can work East Coast hours.
What You'll Do:
- Plan, lead, and deliver multiple cross-functional system projects, typically small to medium in scale (1–6 months end-to-end).
- Represent the Revenue Controllership business function across initiatives impacting Order to Cash systems and operations, with occasional overlap into Tax and General Ledger Accounting.
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including intake, ideation, planning, documentation, and execution.
- Produce comprehensive project documentation such as business requirements, timelines, user acceptance testing plans, and change management materials.
- Present requirements to technical teams and partner closely with IT to ensure alignment and clarity on timelines and solution design.
- Coordinate and manage solution testing efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deliver change management and training materials.
- Develop subject matter expertise in systems and operations relevant to each project—this is not a generalist PM role.
- Track milestones, escalate risks/issues, and provide regular status updates.
- Lead retrospectives and reporting for system defects impacting the Revenue Controllership function.
- 4+ years of relevant experience (e.g., Project Management within Accounting & Finance, Business Systems Analysis focused on Revenue financial systems, or consulting in Revenue Accounting and Finance).
- Solid understanding of Order to Cash operations and systems, including Credit & Collections, Order Management, Billing, Revenue Accounting, and Deal Contracting.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Oracle.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in project management, including developing project plans and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience executing strategic initiatives that impact operations and systems.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
