Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils, and other products.
Kinder Morgan is seeking a full-time Assistant General Counsel or Senior Counsel to support its Natural Gas Group in day-to-day regulatory and commercial matters. Successful candidates will have substantial experience with regulatory matters involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and general business transactions affecting interstate natural gas pipelines.
Responsibilities
Support KM’s regulatory, commercial, and business development teams in preparing FERC applications, filings, notices, motions, responses, and other documents related to natural gas project certificates, transportation and storage rates and fees (including FERC rate cases), and tariff matters.
Provide legal and strategic advice on Federal, state, and local regulatory and compliance matters and tariff issues.
Represent KM in commercial transactions, including negotiating and drafting long-term natural gas transportation and storage agreements, project precedent agreements, interconnect agreements, asset purchase and sale agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other commercial arrangements.
Assist with other general legal matters and transactions related to KM’s businesses as they arise.
