As a General Maintenance Technician II, youll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and infrastructure throughout the facility, ensuring everything operates safely and efficiently.
What Youll Be Doing:
Install and modify equipment based on engineering plans and technical specs.
Diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment behavior and identifying irregularities.
Disassemble machinery to access and replace worn or faulty components.
Inspect parts for damage, wear, or dimensional changes.
Weld and fabricate metal structures and components as needed.
Replace defective parts and install specialized equipment.
Clean, lubricate, and test machinery to ensure peak performance.
Conduct safety checks and performance tests on repaired or new installations.
Troubleshoot and repair facility electrical systems.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Maintain a safe and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Use hoists, cranes, and various hand/power tools to remove and install parts.
Perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and other machinery.
Conduct routine inspections and servicing of mechanical and electrical systems.
Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping protocols.
Take on additional tasks as assigned.
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED.
Vocational or technical training in mechanical/electrical maintenance.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Skilled in torch cutting and arc welding.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Strong communication skillsboth written and verbal.
Flexibility to work any shift as needed.
