Job Requirements and Duties

You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards, and access to an insured vehicle for delivery. You should possess navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses within the delivery area, and be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.

Advancement

Many team members began their careers as delivery drivers and today are successful Domino’s franchise owners. Opportunities exist from delivery driver to management, general manager to franchisee, or Manager Corporate Operations.

Qualifications

General job duties for all store team members include:

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility daily.

Training

  • Orientation and on-the-job training provided.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions/Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 to 90+ degrees. Sudden changes in temperature. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensing

Talking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Temperaments

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements

Including, but not limited to:

  • Standing: Most tasks are performed standing.
  • Walking: Short distances for short durations; surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum; work surfaces 36–48 inches high.
  • Lifting: Deliveries may include cases up to 50 pounds; cases are lifted from floor to shelves up to 72 inches high.
  • Carrying: Large cans (3 lb 7 oz) and pizza sauce (up to 30 lb) carried from storage to front; trays of dough carried three at a time (~12 lb per tray).
  • Pushing: Move trays on dollies; pushing force up to 7.5 pounds.
  • Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for signs, maintenance.
