Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Design and develop user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for web and mobile applications.
  • Create visually appealing graphics, icons, and design elements to support various projects.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and user needs.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and functionality.
  • Ensure designs are consistent with branding guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Stay current with trends, technologies, and best practices in UX/UI and graphic design.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to team members on design matters.
  • Maintain and update design documentation, including style guides and specifications.
  • Assist with other design-related tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

Expected Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, demonstrate an additional 4 years of related acquisition experience per level if no bachelor's degree is held.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph.
  • Experience as a UX/UI or graphic designer, preferably in a technical or defense environment.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with ability to collaborate closely with developers.

  • Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Experience designing for government or defense-related projects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
