TEKsystems is hiring: Business Analyst in Honolulu

Overview

Business Analyst - Enterprise Data & Analytics. Location: Hybrid, 1-2 days onsite. Hawai'i-based candidates preferred. This role will lead requirements gathering and process documentation for a critical analytics and software initiative with a local utility organization, focusing on Databricks-centric PPA calculations and Invoice Management enhancements. The candidate should have deep experience in data and analytics projects, with hands-on familiarity in Azure and Databricks environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and document requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development and data engineering teams.
• Ensure solution alignment with Azure and Databricks architecture.
• Create and manage backlog items, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support change management and training efforts for new analytics solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development or data/analytics projects (application development experience preferred).
• Hands-on knowledge of data platforms, especially Azure and/or Databricks.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, BI/reporting tools, and analytics workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or ServiceNow.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay range: $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
