Southern Hills Dental Care, a Heartland Dental Supported Practice and a thriving patient-focused dental office in Tulsa, OK, is looking for a full-time experienced dental assistant to join our team. We have an established patient base and a collaborative atmosphere.

As part of our safety commitment, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process and any necessary guidance provided. Not applicable in the states of FL & TN.
More About the Role
- Greet and welcome patients, ensure comfort, and provide education throughout treatment
- Review patient health history to deliver quality care
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
- Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists
- Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records
- Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
- Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Oklahoma Dental Assistant Permit
- Oklahoma X-Ray Certification
- 2 years of Dental Assistant experience
- Access to minimum PHI with HIPAA training and data safeguards
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric, high patient-volume environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Adaptable to a changing environment; attention to detail; sense of urgency; team player
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
Preferred Experience
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities
- Prolonged sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Occasional attendance of virtual or in-person training sessions
