As part of our safety commitment, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process and any necessary guidance provided. Not applicable in the states of FL & TN.

More About the Role

• Greet and welcome patients, ensure comfort, and provide education throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to deliver quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Oklahoma Dental Assistant Permit
• Oklahoma X-Ray Certification
• 2 years of Dental Assistant experience
• Access to minimum PHI with HIPAA training and data safeguards
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric, high patient-volume environment
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Adaptable to a changing environment; attention to detail; sense of urgency; team player
• Microsoft Office Suite experience

Preferred Experience

• Dentrix or other dental software experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities
• Prolonged sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
• Occasional attendance of virtual or in-person training sessions
