Location: West Phoenix, Arizona (optional coverage in North Phoenix)

Practice Setting: Multi-site model including outpatient clinics, physician-owned ASC, and hospital-based care
Call Coverage: Shared rotation at Banner Estrella Medical Center (Level II Trauma)
Trauma Caseload: Approximately 50% trauma/emergent cases

Position Summary
A physician-led, regionally recognized orthopedic group in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity Surgeon to join its growing surgical division. This full-time opportunity offers a well-balanced case mix approximately 50% elective and 50% trauma delivered across a collaborative, multi-site model that includes an on-site ASC and hospital call responsibilities.
Surgeons benefit from a built-in referral base, two dedicated ORs within the ASC, and trauma call at a major Level II facility. The position is supported by experienced PAs and offers opportunities for teaching, leadership, or research for candidates interested in academic engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage conditions of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow
- Perform a range of procedures including elective surgeries, trauma repairs, microsurgery, and minimally invasive techniques
- Participate in shared ER call and handle acute upper extremity injuries
- Coordinate with PAs and clinical teams to provide comprehensive pre- and post-op care
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
- Contribute to ongoing clinical improvement and operational efficiency
- Optional: Engage in mentorship, teaching, or research initiatives
Candidate Profile
- MD or DO from a U.S.-accredited medical school
- Completed ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency
- Fellowship-trained in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery
- (Orthopedic hand fellowship preferred; plastic hand considered)
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Arizona
- Strong clinical skills, surgical acumen, and commitment to team-based care
- Interest in academic or leadership roles is welcomed, but not required
