We are seeking a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, beginning Dec 1, 2025. This role features day shifts, Monday through Friday, and is ideal for candidates experienced with outpatient GI and procedures such as paracentesis. Board certification in Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP) is required, along with active CA licensure.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide outpatient gastroenterology care, including patient assessment and management
  • Perform paracentesis and other GI-related procedures as required
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Comply with all relevant protocols and regulatory guidelines

Additional Information
  • Current and unrestricted CA Nurse Practitioner license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and DEA certification required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP) required
  • Experience in outpatient GI settings strongly preferred
