Schedule
PM 4-10 hour shifts with rotating days off based on departmental needs. On-call every 4th weekend from Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM, with one day of weekday call from 5 PM to 7 AM.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases. You will work alongside specialists in a fast-paced clinical environment, providing critical support and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional cases, scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralists.
Operate floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines effectively.
Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedures.
Employ critical thinking skills during neuro-interventional cases and other complex procedures.
Manage the power injection of iodinated contrast media during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention measures while setting up procedural trays.
Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.
Document procedures in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACS system.
Manage groin sites post-intervention.
Demonstrate ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist.
Current NJ radiographic licensure.
BLS certification from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited program with skill demonstration.
Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT.
