In this position... We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist Battery Manufacturing Engineering to support and lead initiatives in automated material handling systems across our cell production line. This role will focus on implementation of conveyors, elevators, AGVs, and ASRS systems. The candidate will oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification during production ramp-up while resolving technical issues to ensure seamless handover to operation. Additionally, the candidate will drive factory automation projects to improve material logistics efficiency and line availability. Responsibilities

What you'll do... Lead installation, commissioning, and qualification of automated material handling equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during production ramp-up for conveyors, elevators, AGVs, and ASRS systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production line availability and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop factory automation solutions for material loading, unloading, and logistics. Support integration of new automation technologies into existing manufacturing systems. Qualifications

You'll have Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field 5+ years of Manufacturing Experience Knowledge on automated Material Handling Systems (e.g. Conveyors, AGV, ASRS) Experience on facility layout planning and optimization Experience on project management including budget and schedule Even better, you may have... Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field 7+ years of Manufacturing Experience Knowledge on CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) Knowledge on PLC programming basics Knowledge on material flow simulation using software (e.g. FlexSim) You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
