We are seeking an experienced
Seasonal Tax Preparer (CPA)
to join our team for the upcoming tax season. The ideal candidate will have several seasons of tax preparation experience and a strong background handling both
personal and business tax returns , with particular expertise in
small business returns . This role is highly client-facing, so excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential. The successful candidate will be expected to
hit the ground running by mid-January
and may be considered for a
full-time opportunity
if the fit is right. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review
individual (Form 1040)
and
business tax returns
(e.g., 1120, 1120-S, 1065) with accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate directly with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax matters clearly, and resolve inquiries. Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and strategies to minimize client liabilities. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data. Manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively during peak season. Qualifications Active
CPA license
required. 2+ seasons
of professional tax preparation experience. Strong knowledge of
small business tax returns
and relevant IRS regulations. Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and client service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Available to begin work
mid-January
with flexibility for extended hours during peak tax season. Compensation & Benefits Competitive seasonal compensation (commensurate with experience). Potential pathway to
