Site Superintendent – Water/Wastewater Construction

Position Overview The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supervising subcontractors and crews, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with project managers and engineers. This role plays a critical part in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities Oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, workforce coordination, and subcontractor management Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements Implement and enforce safety programs (OSHA standards) to maintain a safe working environment Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control activities Manage equipment, materials, and logistics to maintain project efficiency Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and progress updates Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project management, engineers, and client representatives Proactively identify and resolve field issues to prevent delays and cost overruns

Qualifications 7–10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role Direct experience with

water/wastewater treatment plant construction

strongly preferred Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and process piping systems Proven ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and field operations effectively Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain prior to start) Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications Proficiency in field documentation and reporting
