Verizon What Youll Be Doing...
As a Product Manager in the Verizon Business Group (VBG) Devices and Device Services team, you will be responsible for new device development and lifecycle management of the business device portfolio. In this role, you will drive OEMs who build Verizon Devices for on-time, high-quality device launches that not only meet current market needs but also anticipate future trends. The Product Managers blend of business and technical expertise will ensure Verizons products remain competitive and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with business sponsors, internal support teams and customers to identify key pain points in order to collaboratively design and build solutions that delight the end-user. The Product Manager possesses a blend of business and technical expertise, can see the big picture, and has the confidence to make vision into reality Define, refine, and execute a streamlined process for onboarding device OEMs. End-to-end ownership of the device(s) from development (ideation to release) through lifecycle management to grow the business (analytics, usage, strategy). Review and prioritize product requirements to align with the vision and business strategy for new products; Identify and track KPIs and use them as a cornerstone for communicating to stakeholders. Drive the technical requirements around the business device portfolio and create a cost and time-efficient launch strategy that addresses Verizon network and business customer needs. Monitor launch and post-launch progress to manage device OEMs to higher device quality and performance by benchmarking devices network performance KPIs, call-in rate and return rate. Enabling the PM to plan and execute on software updates to address impact items. Identify and manage commercial risks and ensure strategic product decisions align with the business decisions. Gain an in-depth understanding of customers and users, gathering key insights that will shape the product experience. Conduct market research of customer needs, pain points and perform competitor gap analysis; identify new offerings to drive growth and convert/refine them into device requirements. Work closely with product marketers and engineers to understand the market and technology trends, define and drive product vision and distill a product roadmap. Partner with the engineering and GNT organizations on product development to deliver products that are fit for purpose and desirable in the market. Partner with sales and care teams to update training documents to drive resolution to common support issues. Define MVPs, manage product backlog priorities, and strategically de-scope to achieve rapid feedback cycles. Synthesize perspectives across a diverse set of stakeholders to make quick decisions. Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience in product/device development, device/network technologies or a related field. Five or more years of mobile/telecom industry experience and knowledge of operating systems (MSFT/Chrome/Android/Wear/iOS). Knowledge of 4G/5G technology. Knowledge of Wi-Fi, Mobile Networks and 3GPP standards. Experience launching multiple products/devices, e.g. smartphones, wearables, connected laptops, and Chromebooks. Experience in developing user stories, test cases, and the use of JIRA to document the requirements. Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Troubleshooting skills, review the failure result, and identify the root cause. Strong communication and executive presentation skills. Proficiency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other standard office computer applications. Knowledge of SIM/eSIM technology, customer onboarding, and architecture. Agile working methodology. Project Management and Test management tools: Jira, Integrity, ALM, etc. Data analysis skills: SQL, Tableau.
