The Opportunity As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be the engine that powers our expansion. This role isn’t about smiling and dialing; it’s about creating opportunities, building relationships, and opening doors with restaurant, bar, and truck stop owners across Illinois.
You’ll learn Challenger-style selling, gain exposure to the gaming and hospitality industry, and directly shape the sales pipeline that fuels Lucky Lincoln’s growth. For someone early in their sales career, this is a chance to move fast, make an impact, and grow into an Account Executive or senior sales role.
What You’ll Do Prospecting & Lead Generation Research and target new business opportunities using ILCC license lookups, HubSpot CRM, and industry resources. Drive outbound outreach (calls, emails, in-person prospecting) to connect with decision makers. Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in HubSpot. Lead Qualification & Sales Support Engage potential clients to uncover needs and demonstrate Lucky Lincoln’s value proposition. Set up qualified meetings for Account Executives and ensure smooth handoff. Track contract expirations and flag high-value takeover opportunities (NTI > $15K/month). Collaboration & Market Insights Work side-by-side with Account Executives to build pipeline and close deals. Share competitive intelligence and prospect insights with the sales team. Represent Lucky Lincoln at industry events and networking opportunities. Requirements:
1–2 years of sales development, business development, or customer-facing experience (hospitality a plus). Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decision makers. Self-starter mentality with a “get it done” attitude and eagerness to learn Challenger-style selling. Comfortable with high-volume outreach across calls, emails, and in-person visits. Proficiency in HubSpot CRM and Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience in gaming, technology, or hospitality. Familiarity with Illinois Gaming Board regulations or VGT operations. Why Join Us?
