About the Role: The Service Technician at Tri City CDJR, FYV, plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of commercial HVAC and electrical systems within our retail trade environment. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to maintain a safe and efficient facility. The technician will perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment, contributing directly to the smooth functioning of our operations. Additionally, the role involves documenting service activities and communicating effectively with management through routine reports and correspondence. Ultimately, the Service Technician ensures that all systems meet safety standards and operate at peak performance, supporting the overall customer experience and business continuity. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair within commercial HVAC systems. Basic knowledge of plumbing and general maintenance practices. Ability to safely operate power tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong written communication skills for preparing routine reports and correspondence. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in HVAC technology or related field. Experience working in a retail trade environment or similar commercial setting. Advanced knowledge of commercial electrical systems and preventive maintenance techniques. Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance related to HVAC and electrical work. Additional technical certifications such as EPA Section 608 or electrical licensing. Responsibilities: Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC and electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly. Conduct preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC units, plumbing, and general facility systems to prevent equipment failures. Write detailed routine reports and correspondence to document service activities, findings, and recommendations. Collaborate with management and other team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Skills: The required skills such as electrical troubleshooting and knowledge of HVAC systems are applied daily to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
