We are seeking a detail-oriented
Glycol System Operator
to join a dynamic team for a reputable organization in Rhode Island. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the deicing system and wastewater treatment plant to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations. This position requires strong technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and reliability in all system functions. Company Highlights:

Key Responsibilities of the Glycol Systems Operator:
Operate and monitor the deicing system and wastewater treatment plant under the direction of the Wastewater Treatment Supervisor. Manage influent feeds, effluent discharges, solids handling, chemical feed systems, biogas handling, BOD monitors, and related utilities. Monitor, troubleshoot, and control the deicing/anti-icing collection systems, including pumps, valves, pump stations, and force mains. Operate and monitor the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) network. Conduct water quality sampling and maintain accurate records and reports. Provide 24-hour on-call support (October–May) for deicing system operations and emergency response. Ensure proper and safe use of all equipment while adhering to strict security and safety protocols. Respond to emergencies and assist in maintenance, troubleshooting, and system adjustments as needed.
Qualifications of the Glycol Systems Operator:
Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of experience in water quality treatment operations. Experience with SCADA network management preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to interpret data, monitor systems, and make operational adjustments. Must be able to achieve and maintain airport security clearance. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and performing physical tasks, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working with hands above the head. Grade 1 or 2 Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification (preferred)
