We are seeking a highly skilled an innovated Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design and development of automated equipment and systems. This role requires a multidisciplinary approach,

design, andsoftware developmentto create and implement hands free manufacturing solutions.
In this role you will be responsible for development and implementation ofautomated manufacturing processes across multiple divisions and become the subject matter expert on key manufacturing processes and equipment located at each strategic acquisition. This role is instrumental in standardizing best practices, increasing operational efficiency, and driving innovation through automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, automation technologies, and cross-functional collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities: Design, build, and implementautomated manufacturing equipmentand systems to replace repetitive manual assembly steps. Develop and optimizemechanical componentsfor automation platforms. Create and maintainelectrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems. Program and integratesoftware solutionsfor automation, including PLCs, HMIs, and custom applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, and product engineering to ensure manufacturability and scalability. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for new automation initiatives. Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing automated systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and internal quality protocols. Support Kaizen workshops to create, implement and improve production single piece flow lines.
Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects from concept through implementation. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, track progress and report outcomes to stakeholders.
Qualifications Travel Requirements Willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed.The first 6 months the job requires 50% of the business month to be on site at our NY facility. Bachelors degree in mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering. 37 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on automation and process improvement. Proficiency in SolidWorks software for mechanical design. Direct experience with automation systems (e.g., PLCs, robotics, SCADA, sensors). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and project management abilities.
