Infusion Pharmacist
for a
full-time 12-week contract
position based in
Houston, Texas . This role is ideal for pharmacists experienced in
sterile compounding, IV preparation , and patient-centered care within a high-volume infusion pharmacy. If you thrive in a structured, weekday schedule with no weekend shifts and want to apply your clinical expertise in a specialized outpatient settingthis opportunity is for you. Position Overview:

Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy

Your Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense sterile compounded IV medications and prescriptions
Ensure all dispensed therapies comply with legal, clinical, and regulatory standards
Provide patient consultations and clinical counseling on infusion therapies
Maintain and document patient records with precision and confidentiality
Educate patients on usage instructions, drug interactions, and side effects
Offer wellness services including BP checks, smoking cessation, and device education
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Collaborate with nurses, prescribers, and other pharmacists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and infusion supplies
Resolve drug-related issues and interface with prescribers as needed
Requirements:
Active Texas Pharmacist License
(in good standing)
Current ACPE-Accredited Sterile Compounding (IV) Certification
Prior experience in
infusion pharmacy or IV compounding
required
CPR+ or similar pharmacy software proficiency preferred
Strong clinical acumen, attention to detail, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting
